Professional Bio

An educator shaped by mathematics, engineering and management.

I am an educator and a co-founder of Acton Academy Saburtalo — the first school across the post-Soviet countries built on the Acton Academy model. Alongside it, I teach ICT at Buckswood International School Tbilisi.

My path to education was not a straight line: mathematics and 3D design, studies in Lithuania, banking, then tourism — until COVID-19 changed my plans and I turned to Python programming and IT. Since 2022 I have worked in education, designing curricula in programming, computer science and mathematics.

Everything I learned along the way — the logic of mathematics, the systems thinking of programming and the management skills of my MBA — now serves one aim: a school where children learn naturally and with joy.

From a school desk to founding a school.

Chapter I · Childhood
A wide range of interests
From early childhood I noticed that my interests were unusually broad. Technical subjects came easily to me, yet I found just as much joy in the arts — writing, drawing and singing.

Chapter II · School
Seven lessons a day at a desk
Sitting at a desk for seven lessons a day in public school was hard for me. I never liked the traditional model of teaching — it made me uncomfortable.
Chapter III · University
Mathematics — and 3D design
When I enrolled to study mathematics, I realised that 90% of what I was learning would never be useful in my life. So, in parallel, I also enrolled in college to study 3D design.

A new language, a new country
Next, I began learning Lithuanian and went to study in Kaunas.
Chapter V · Banking & tourism
Plans, and a pandemic
After my studies I worked in the banking sector, then moved into tourism. COVID-19 ruined those plans.

Starting over with code
So I started learning the Python programming language and IT.

Asking a new question
In 2022 I began working in education. I wanted to find out what teaching methods private schools used — and whether they really differed from those of public schools.

Finding the method
I worked at Newton Free School, then researched the teaching methods of Acton Academy and became a co-founder of Acton Academy Saburtalo, because I believe they have found the most effective methods.

Teaching at Buckswood
Alongside Acton, I currently teach at Buckswood International School Tbilisi.
